This Privacy Policy explains what information Sapient Alpha (“Sapient Alpha,” “we,” “us”) collects when you use our website and application (the “Service”), how we use it, and the choices you have. By using the Service, you agree to the practices described here.

Account information. When you create an account, we collect your email address and a password (stored in hashed form by our authentication provider, not by us in plain text).

Billing information. If you subscribe to Sapient Pro, payment is processed by Stripe. We do not store your full card number or bank details ourselves — we receive and store only a subscription status and a Stripe customer/subscription identifier so we can manage your billing.

Usage information. We may log basic technical information (such as request timestamps) needed to operate and secure the Service. We do not use third-party advertising trackers.

3. How we use your information

We use the information above to:

• Create and maintain your account and authenticate your sign-ins
• Process subscription payments and manage billing status
• Determine which features (Sapient Lite vs. Sapient Pro) your account can access
• Send you service-related email (e.g. account, billing, or signal-digest email you’ve signed up for)
• Maintain the security and reliability of the Service

4. Who we share information with

We do not sell your personal information. We share the minimum information necessary with the following service providers, each acting on our behalf:

• Supabase — authentication and database hosting
• Stripe — payment processing and subscription billing

We may also disclose information if required by law, or to protect the rights, safety, or property of Sapient Alpha or our users.

5. Data retention

We retain account information for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we delete or anonymize your personal information within a reasonable period, except where we are required to retain billing records for legal or tax purposes.

6. Your rights

You can access, correct, or delete your account information at any time from your account settings, or by contacting us at the email below. If you are located in a jurisdiction that grants additional data-protection rights (such as the right to data portability or to object to processing), we will honor requests consistent with those rights.

7. Cookies

We use a small number of strictly necessary cookies to keep you signed in and to maintain your session. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

8. Children’s privacy

The Service is not directed to, and we do not knowingly collect information from, anyone under the age of 18.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we’ll update the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, notify you directly.
