Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of these terms

By creating an account or otherwise using Sapient Alpha (the “Service”), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Not financial advice

Sapient Alpha surfaces statistical backtests of historical price behavior for educational and informational purposes. Scores, win rates, and any other figures shown are derived from historical data and do not constitute financial, investment, or trading advice. Past performance does not guarantee future results. You are solely responsible for your own trading and investment decisions, and Sapient Alpha is not a broker-dealer, investment adviser, or financial advisor.

3. Eligibility and accounts

You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity under your account.

You agree to provide accurate information when creating an account and to keep it up to date.

4. Plans and billing

Sapient Alpha offers a free tier (“Sapient Lite”) and a paid monthly subscription (“Sapient Pro”), currently $29/month, billed in advance through our payment processor, Stripe.

• Sapient Pro renews automatically each month until you cancel.
• You can cancel anytime from your account’s billing page; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
• Fees already paid are non-refundable except where required by law.
• We may change subscription pricing with reasonable advance notice; changes apply to future billing periods only.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Attempt to circumvent the free/Pro access boundaries of the Service
• Scrape, resell, or redistribute data from the Service without our written permission
• Use the Service in a way that disrupts or interferes with its normal operation
• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose

6. Intellectual property

The Service, including its scoring methodology, design, and content, is owned by Sapient Alpha and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. We grant you a limited, non-transferable license to use the Service for your own personal use, subject to these Terms.

7. Disclaimer of warranties

The Service is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to accuracy, completeness, or fitness for a particular purpose. We do not warrant that any score, win rate, or backtested statistic will predict future outcomes.

8. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Sapient Alpha will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including trading losses, arising from your use of the Service.

9. Termination

You may stop using the Service and close your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access to the Service for any account that violates these Terms.

10. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we’ll update the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, notify you directly. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
